My sister Betsy is going home today. She and Elliot have been here for a nice, long visit and we’ve cooked, eaten, cooked, eaten, laughed, cooked, laughed, eaten, eaten, and laughed, eaten, and cooked.
Not necessarily in that order.
Oh my GOSH GARSH GOSH, we made this last night. It will be on The Pioneer Woman Cooks tomorrow. It was absolutely transcendent.
And it tasted reeeeeeeeeal good, too.
In other news, I want to take you through my month so far, as seen through screenshots of my repeating numbers.
I never listen to myself.
Thank you for listening.
I mean looking.
On the food front, here’s one of my favorite ways to make green beans. Green beans, diced onion and red pepper, finely chopped bacon, salt, and pepper. Stick it in a 425 degree oven until the beans are roasted and the bacon is sizzling.
Here’s a salad I made on an upcoming show. It’s dreamy! The cameramen done ate it.
Oh, Charlie. Your paws are the key to my heart.
Oh, Oklahoma. Your sunsets are the key to my soul.
Oh, ranch. Your roads are the key to my jeans fitting again. Thank you for all you do.
Love,
Pioneer Woman
