A Hot, Dusty Morning

Crazy DogsWe shipped cattle last week.

ShippingWhen we ship cattle, the cattle are loaded in groups onto our set of scales, then weighed.

ShippingHere, Marlboro Man is helping “shush” the cattle to get them all on the scale.

If he ever tries to do that to me…

Well, it won’t be pretty.

ShippingOh, it was hot that day. As a result, I called Marlboro Man “Sweaty” all day instead of “Sweetie.”

I’m a romantic that way.

ShippingHat on, shirt untucked.

It’s the only way to deal with scorchers like this.

ShippingWhile Marlboro Man and a couple of cowboys stayed behind to sort and weigh the cattle, everyone else went back out to bring in more.

ShippingPeek-a-boo!

ShippingIt’s so nice to have plenty of help.

ShippingEspecially Pa-Pa. What’s up, Pa-Pa?

ShippingAnd Halle. Yo, Halle-Bear!

ShippingAnd Paige and Bryce. Hey, dudes!

ShippingAnd Alex.

ShippingHowdy, Alex.

ShippingAnd speaking of Sweaty…look at that beautiful, loyal, hardworking ranch horse.

We’re all ready for cooler weather around here.

ShippingOnce they were back at the pens…

ShippingEveryone chipped in to get the rest of the cattle weighed.

ShippingAll in a day’s work!

ShippingAnd speaking of work…

ShippingWell…work isn’t everything.

ShippingCountry kids have to play sometimes!

ShippingIt was a hot, dusty morning…but they finally got it all done.

ShippingAnd they did it with a smile!

That’s always a nice bonus.
